I recently came across SHOOP, a streetwear brand based in Madrid, Spain. SHOOP was founded by Yohei Oki and Miriam Sanz in 2011, and even though it might not be a brand you're familiar with just yet, I bet my life savings it won't be long until they are. They're certainly a brand to watch and there is no doubt that if they continue to produce garments like they are, they'll have us fashion junkies hooked!

Their collections have clear influences from sportswear and 90's culture; plus there is a dominant music influence throughout their  #ǝɔunoq collection.

Global online fashion and beauty retailer ASOS have teamed up with sport lifestyle brand PUMA to kick start the new year properly!

Launching 13th January 2014, this eleven-piece jersey wear collection looks even more delightful with every teaser I see! This capsule collection has heavy influences and inspiration from 90’s sports street-wear.

The two brands have paired together to produce a bold and compelling collection by mixing fabrications and innovative print techniques.

The brands have focused on dramatic colour-blocking and print, which has formed this powerful collection.

The ladies and I over at The Unisex Mode passed through the Adidas SS14 Press Day a few weeks ago and we were all really impressed with what's to come!

The full coverage is over on the TUM blog, but I thought I'd give you a little taster here with some of my favourite pieces.

Following up the decisively dark Nike N7 collaboration, both companies team up again to give us a little more creative freedom! The new Pendleton Collection up on iD is delightful; it's also one of the many ideas for Santa on my Christmas list this year!

Pendleton Woolen Mills and Nike are offering four colours of the Pendleton Trail fabric pattern. So, whether you're planning on mixing and matching the native American-inspired motifs, or keeping it clean with one pattern throughout, the possibilities are literally endless. Especially considering that there is a great choice of silhouettes on offer as well. can't think of a better looking way to warm my feet up this winter.

I also think it's quite refreshing not to see an Air Unit in sight! I'm pleased there isn't an Air Max 1 available on this iD collaboration. In my opinion, the floral Liberty of London prints exhausted the AM1; I was definitely getting bored.

Nevertheless, Pendleton are bringing it back! You've also got a huge amount of choice with all the trimmings on offer too; including your laces, branding and customisation of the soles.

The Pendleton x NIKEiD collection is online and up to play around with.

The Air Force 1s will be available through to the end of the month, December 31st, 2013. The other trainers will be seeing in the new year and staying put until February 15th, 2014.

indcsn are based in the heart of West Yorkshire, in the city of Leeds. For their F/W13 Lookbook, this home-grown clothing brand uses Leeds as their backdrop and its team skateboarder Chris Parsons to front it.

indcsn's F/W13 collection features skate-inspired pieces; tees, hoodies, button down shirts, the lot! I'm ashamed to admit it but, stupidly, I've slept on this brand for a while.

With bold font and graphics, embroidered beanies and warm hoodies, this is definitely a brand I'll be investing in over the winter for sure! indcsn have also been exploring the world of accessories; they teamed up with Australian based Windfall Jewellery to create a gorgeous silver Bulldog Signet ring. Who can refuse anything with a bulldog on?!

Make sure you head over to their website and support a local brand by picking up something from the new collection now.

Right, this is something a little different to the usual posts here on the blog, but I knew I needed to share it.

Photographer Linda Dajana Krüger (who also goes by Dai Lyn Power) put together a photo series entitled 'Our Generation' for VICE Germany. The photo series depicts what our youth of today will look like when we're older!

She recruited two oldies from a German retirement home and styled them in all of the "wavey garms" that are rife in our streetwear culture.

It's absolutely brilliant, check out some more of the photos below.

This latest collaboration is an exciting one. This limited Air Max collection is inspired by the worlds first underground railway system: London Underground.

Very much like London Underground, the Air Max has to adapt to exterior demands and try out new and improved technology. Well this collection introduces us to Nike’s newest technology: Engineered woven Jacquard. A new technique which uses a one-piece weaving process for a new fit, without encroaching on the silhouettes classic shapes.

As soon as I saw this new editorial I was excited! I felt a lot of 'girl power' wash over me and in fact, it was a little empowering seeing the ladies get a bit more recognition in the streetwear scene! The "girls in streetwear" culture seems to be peaking right now and it's great!

Despite Patta being primarily a mens brand, its not news to know that girls endorse their products and style them in a more feminine fashion. I'm always going on about how I am all for a brand with gender-blurring lines and I have always thought Patta as one of them. So, naturally I am really pleased a female dominant editorial has surfaced!

It's around this time that I'm starting the hunt for a new winter warmer. My Carhartt Siberian Parka served me well last year. In fact, it's served me well right up until now throughout the unpredictable British weather.

But, I'm moving on. I need to pop the tags on a new jacket thats going to keep me toasty on these bitter mornings and keep me dry when the rain turns to snow.

I've picked out my top 3 jackets that I've seen so far, so check them out and let me know what you think!

Since this duo graced the cover of Sneaker Freaker issue 28, I've been excited. In fact, I might go as far as to say, I think this is my favourite size? exclusive yet!

Both shoes adopt that silky colour combo of piercing blue azure and deep purple accenting; simply delightful.

It's always around this time of year that the Christmas hysteria begins. Christmas lights are going up in the highstreets, everyones wondering when it's socially acceptable to put up their trees and 'that' Coca-Cola advert is on TV.

Well the sneaker world is no different. Finishing off what has been an insanely successful year for Asics, I give you, the "Christmas Pack".

Conceptually, this is a genius idea. Aesthetically, its even better.

As you all know by now Parra is one of my favourite artists so naturally, Rockwell by Parra is one of my favourite brands.

I am always excited when pictures surface of new collections and this one was no different. With Parra's signature colour palette and quirky characters, I swoon every time!

Rockwell collections are consistently featuring great products, so I always want to invest in a new shirt or deck, or both! But unfortunately, with Christmas creeping up on us, it's time to tighten my purse and keep my pennies safe so I can treat my nearest and dearest.

None the less, I have my favourite picks from the collection, so click read more to find out what they are, and maybe treat yourself!

As you’re probably all aware by now, LAZY OAF X LOONEY TUNES have collaborated to make a capsule collection of clothing and accessories that makes me want to put a dent in my bank account.

The collection was released 2 weeks ago now but most things are still in stock in most sizes, perfectly in time for Christmas!

The collection features pieces for men and women and accessories that of course suit both.

Most of you will recognise the name Jennifer Hope, no doubt about it. Jennifer Hope has featured on Talk Casuals many times before, she kick started our Talk Brands collective earlier in the year. If you didn't have a chance to read that interview, make sure you do.

Last week I was lucky enough to get sent a gorgeous little care package from Jennifer Hope, which I was over the moon about!

I'm extremely excited to be posting about the announcement of Fresh Laces 5th event of 2013!

Massachusetts-based outerwear brand Penfield presents its 2013 Fall/Winter Lookbook titled “The Coldest Day.” As soon as I saw it, I wanted to show you a few of my favourites - plus how could I not with that gorgeous French Bulldog?!

"The Coldest Day" is a fitting title considering the Lookbook is compromised of layers upon layers of clothing. Beautifully styled and shot, the Lookbooks rich palette of colours on a grey and black base, makes for an extremely pleasing aesthetic. The collection features brand new styles like the Chinook and Naklin, as well as the Penfield classics we all know and love.

There is a large selection of warm, cosy looking jackets, the type you're going to want when the mornings start to get bitter and frosty again. Layered under the jackets, vests, overshirts, sweatshirts, as well as pants and socks.

Penfield are notorious for high-quality cold weather textiles, they've been a pioneering figure in the outwear industry since the early 1960s, and rightly so.

To finish off the collection, there is a selection of thick-knit scarves and woollen throws to add to those layers.

Some of the items are already available to order through their website, but more items will be up online soon.

It's been a while, but it's back! We're introducing more brands to our Talk Brands collective on a monthly basis, and continuing to add to the quality of it each time.

I caught up with Elliott, 23, the founder of Malmö London. Born in Sweden and brought to the streets of London, Malmö London is a "premium and independent label continually inspired by the street and beyond".

The collaborations are coming hot and heavy and they don't seem to be slowing up anytime soon, but I'm not complaining!

The latest collaboration is coming from Boom Nails X Jennifer Hope. You'll remember Jennifer Hope on Talk Casuals, as she kick started our Talk Brands collective! If you haven't had a read of that yet, make sure you do! You'll then see why we're really excited about this collab!

Booms Nails London X Jennifer Hope are opening up a one off collaboration pop up shop in Boxpark Shoreditch from 29th of October, this Tuesday, to 3rd of November.

Fresh Laces have teamed up with state side graphic designer MAS Vision to create this 'Mowabb' inspired SnapBack.

Its no secret that the Fresh Laces team are big lovers of the Nike Air Mowabb colourway and ACG, so again it's no surprise that its this was the shoe they wanted to pay homage to!

This collab has turned MAS Vision's clean Huarache Mowabb illustration into dope piece for any sneakerhead.

The SnapBack is releasing this Saturday, 26/10/13

Part 1 of this collaboration between The Colour Collective X DroneBoy was a massive success!

I genuinely didn't think Part 2 could top its predecessor, but I am happy to admit I was wrong. The Colour Collective have been throwing up teasers on their Instagram of the next instalment to the collaboration, and I just want to see more!

Levi promised us in our chat in the lead up to the first drop, that this one would be darker, and he's made true on his word.

A friend of mine, Maria Pizzeria, a fellow The Unisex Mode contributor, has just released her first collab for Brashy Couture.

Brashy Couture is street apparel "for the irreverent and brash". Brashy Couture was founded in Stockholm in 2010 and is based out of LA.

I love a good quirky t-shirt, and this one is brilliant.

It is the final day of the "Is it the Shoes?" 4 day sneaker festival hosted by We Are Parable.

Make sure you get down today, there is loads of stuff going on! I haven't been able to make it down and I am so gutted! I wish it had been on for longer, so don't miss out like I am!

I have seen and heard such positive things from this exhibition over the last few days, it's been a massive success!

I was very recently introduced to Terrible Movement, an ethical fashion label that I had never come across before, but one that I will most definitely be keeping an eye on from now on.

Terrible Movement have just released an editorial Look Book ‘Avant Garde The Time For That’.

The editorial exhibits their AW13 collection, with a dark and edgy vibe which endorses the same kind of feel as the collection itself. With blogging for Talk Casuals and contributing for The Unisex Mode, its no secret that I love a collection with a masculine cut and style. I am a sucker for a brand like this one; a brand who, like myself, take a relaxed stance on gender-blurring fashion. This collection proves quite rightly that less really is more.

If you're a sassy b*tch and you know it, then this is the post for you.

A friend of mine has recently started up her own online store, Dirty Disco Vintage, full of the most gorgeous vintage and remade goodies!

Liberty X Nike collaborations have been a great success in the past, especially with the availability of the Liberty print on Nike iD. But have they over-done it?

The latest Nike X Liberty of London collaboration is launching this month. "The Sneakerboot Collection", including the popular Air Max 1, will be available to buy exclusively from Liberty.

This collection consists of, in the words of Liberty, "the ultimate winter sneakers". In their traditional fashion, the Liberty X Nike collaboration are continuing to combine modern street style with iconic British design.

The Colour Collective aren't a new name to Talk Casuals, and for good reason. This is a brand with a lot of great people behind it and I love nothing more than supporting a brand that puts in the hard work.

You'll remember The Colour Collective from our Talk Brands collective and I have been closely following the growth of the brand. I am so impressed with this collaboration, I really love the print which combines together the two iconic illustrations of both brands.

I caught up with Levi Thomas from The Colour Collective again before the first drop of the new collaboration with DroneBoy tomorrow.

We're a massive fan of the "Digi-Floral" craze, and we're definitely all over a good pair of durable footwear, so together I think that makes the perfect combo?!

Following the pink "Digi-Florals" we posted about way back in March, comes two new colourways in that addictive pixelated print.

These two new colourways have completely different feels about them. The first is a rustic looking colourway featuring a 'photo blue' against that crisp white embroidered swoosh. This pair are an absolute no brainer for the autumn season, especially with that canvas upper, they're practically perfect.

This pair have already gone out of stock online at Nike, so act fast and pick up a pair online now from Lost Art at £65! These are scheduled to drop at a few more stockists, but if I were you, I wouldn't risk it. With a full run from UK6.5- UK12, Lost Art are your lead stockist for this colourway right now!

Next colourway up looks to me like the love child of the pink "Digi-Florals" and the Black Florals we saw back in June. That burnt Orange works so well on a monochrome background. These are definitely a winter warmer! These are now availible online from Remix Casuals, Lost Art and Bored Of Southsea. Again running from sizes UK6.5 - UK12, but if the limited sizes available on Nike are anything to go by, stock is going fast! Do not sleep on these!

Keep liking our Facebook Page and #TalkCasuals on your latest pick ups, especially if a pair of these is on your feet!

so, i spent some time working at nike last year as a mens running specialist, where i got the chance to get clued up with nike + technology and their footwear. running and going to the gym seems bigger than ever at the moment, myself i love the gym! nothing makes me feel better than a good workout and if you're going to get involved in getting yourself up and fit you need the right shoes for the job!

i would fully recommend any serious runners out there to go and get their gait tested. this is a test that involves you running on a treadmill for a few seconds while a camera captures the movements in your ankle and foot when you land. by slowing these images you can then advise the best shoe for the amount of support you need! however if you're not going to be the next mo farah a neutral or cushioned shoe will not do you any harm at all!

below i've put together my top picks of trainers for training, each fall into one of 3 categories;
  1. neutral - for people who don't over pronate or under pronate in any greater form. has good cushioning and stability - a good all rounder!
  2. cushioned - better for people whose ankle tends to come inwards on impact to the ground - cushioning for your heel, with support for your arch! (these are what i go for when training)
  3. stability - usually for heavier people who are flat footed, this shoe has super strength on the arch to stop your foot landing flat

If you don't know this name by now, you should. Kitty is a good friend of mine and has done a Blog Takeover for me here at Talk Casuals before.

As I'm always saying, supporting our locals is something we pride ourselves on here at Talk Casuals, and everyone wants to see their friends succeed too.

Kitty is the most hardworking and humble person I have ever come across. She's constantly blogging for and managing myself and the rest of the team over at The Unisex Mode, being the Concession Manager for Jennifer Hope Clothing in Topshop's flagship Oxford Circus store, a rapper song-writer and a 24/7 babe.

Kitty is going to be releasing a new single and a music video very soon! I know more than most how excited she is to share it with you, but she is making the video all off her own back and so she needs your support!

Head over to, pick up a tee and be a part of the making of a killer video!
