The most recent question I was asked was:
"What shoes do you think are a must have (essentials)?"

I'll be honest, I didn't have to think long and hard about this, the answer came to me almost instantly.

If I am to recommend a shoe to anyone based on comfort alone, it's Roshe Runs

If I am to recommend a shoe to anyone based on comfort AND looks, it's still Roshe Runs.

I think they are an absolute essential for anyone and everyone. Whether you're a  footwear lover or just an opportunist.

I bought my first pair back in summer last year, after the Crepe City event in Shoreditch. I had been on my feet all day and we'd been travelling all over Central London doing shopping and getting food.

My feet were in desperate need of some TLC, and so I picked these up and paid for them whilst they were on my feet.

They were, at the time, the most underestimated shoe, and to some extent I still think this is the case now. I put them on and it was genuinely like walking on clouds, they are so spongey, I didn't want to take them off! Like I said I paid for them whilst they were still on my feet.

I still love these, and they're one of the only pairs of my trainers that are constantly in my current rotation.

Someone else who can back me up and tell you that these were one of the best releases of 2012 is my Nan. She went and bought herself a pair after seeing mine and she is currently the most "trill" nan at Bingo! However, nanny went for the more understated Black versions of my Red ones.

Since then I bought the Digi Camo Roshe Runs which I havent actually worn outside my room yet! They stay here in London whilst I'm at Uni down in the deep south because they would just get ruined and it would break my heart. This will definitely get some play time this summer though. They're so yummy!

2013 has however, seen the release of even more brilliant colourways for the Roshe Runs, and it does seem to be the up coming shoe for Nike. Everyone loves them and I don't blame them!

So in my opinion, this is an absolute essential in any shoe collection, and for £70 it's a no brainer!

I hope to be purchasing my third pair in the very near future. This pair in fact, from the most recent "Speckle Pack".

Vans California are constantly throwing out decent colourways and I'm a big fan of the Vans Chukka silhouette.

I bought my first pair back in January last year, from Remix Casuals in Blackburn. These Chukka's are from the Nordic Pack and were an absolute find. I really didn't expect to be able to find these in my size but when I did, I died a little inside. Ended up spending a fortune on goodies in Remix that day, its a decent store so make sure you check it out!

Anyway, I've been waiting for these Vans Chukka Boot CA from the "Hula Camo" Pack to release since the pictures surfaced at end of last year. I really want to check out the print in real life, so when I'm back in London over the Easter break I'm definitely going to be making a stop at Offspring to have a look. I'm also very unsure about how I feel about the laces on these, but we'll see...

Also in this pack are Authentic's with an all over Hula Camo print, have a look at those here.

These Chukkas are available online at retailers like Offspring, Flatspot, and Urban Industry from a UK3 - UK12  for £65.

I'm going to wait to see them in person before I decide to buy, but those Hula ladies are pretty irresistible!

What do you reckon? Do you prefer the Chukka's or Authentic's in this pack?

This post is a little different to what you would usually see on my blog, but nonetheless its definitely worth being talked about and shared with you lot.

Valley of Neptune is a gorgeous little bigcartel shop run by a friend of mine and it's filled with some absolute delights!

I myself don't wear a lot of jewellery on a daily basis, but I do love a staple piece when I'm dressing up for a special occasion and there are some beautiful pieces available on her bigcartel.

It's rare to find such beautiful jewellery for such a reasonable price so don't miss out!

There is a link to the online shop above, but here are a few pieces that I adore!

Please take the time to go and have a look, Daisy and her store definitely deserve a lot more recognition!

Take a look at the other products she has here, and follow her on Instagram @valley_of_neptune to see new additions to the store as they're added.

My student bank balance and my retail addiction do not sit well together AT ALL...

This is a little post just so you can all see what I would be buying if I had the money.

Fortunately, I'll be going home for the Easter break which means I'll have a chance to pick up some shifts at work and rummage through some of my clothes and trainers and do a bit of a sell. Hopefully this means some of these items on my "wishlist" will soon be hanging in my wardrobe!

The first thing I'll be buying, is this Carhartt Aldux Shirt in Navy. It's £65, which is more than I would usually like to spend on a shirt, but I'm able to justify it to myself with the fact I have a 10% off discount code to redeem and it will be with money from whatever I end up selling. (That's a good enough reason right?)

Image from

The second item to make it to my "wishlist" is this "Peacock Tattoo" T-shirt from Rockwell by Parra's new S/S 13 Collection. You'll have seen this from my favourite picks from the collection in my last post. I just can't get enough of these shirts, if I could afford it, I would have them all! €35.00 from the Rockwell by Parra website, which is roughly £30, but... I have €4.90 eurorocks to use on the site PLUS I'll get one of the new season tote bags for free, and its also really cute!

Images from

The next thing to be lucky enough to make the cut is another item from my "JUST RELEASED" posts, you can see it here. These Nike Stefan Janoski "Digi Floral" feature a gorgeous  pixelated print. To be honest this floral print that seems to be cropping up here there and everywhere now is a breath of fresh air from all the Leopard print we have seen over the past few months!

So here it is, my "fingers-crossed I'll be able to buy in time before the dreaded 'SOLD OUT' text shows" wishlist!

Ohhhh I am so excited right now!

If you read my last post about Rockwell you'll know that this is one of my favourite brands and I have been so looking forward to the new collection!

It will be available online veeerryy soon, so I thought I would show you a sneak peak at some of my favourite pieces...

I love these printed tees, I have a couple on my clothes rail at the moment and these shirts just don't get old!

Another piece I'm really into. Monochrome is really on trend at the moment and I can't get enough of this all over print. Although with this on my want list as well as the Carharrt Aldux print shirt I don't reckon my bank balance will let me have both! This shirt is also available in white with black print.

I don't wear hats really, a beanie now and again when it's cold but this is really smart!

Arghh my favourite piece of the whole lot! Give meeee!

Hopefully I'll be able to grab a couple of pieces from this new collection.

Also, please go and like my Facebook page, spread the word!

These absolutely gorgeous Janoskis have just released at Bored of Southsea.

I'm in love with that pixelated floral print but unfortunately they start at a UK 5.5+ and I'm a 3! Gutted!

These are available in store only, but check out Bored of Southsea's website here, they've also got in Palace Spring 2013 collection.

You may have read my post on Monday about the final piece to complete Patta's latest collection.

The Big Dot Fleece T-shirt was one of my favourite, and like I said, I NEEDED it!

By Tuesday it was sold out online and with only a few L and XL's left in store.

Mine arrived today and it is as gorgeous in person as it was to me in the images.

The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the wrapping was that it was so much heavier than I had expected! It's brilliant quality and perfect for the English weather all year round.

The quality of the product is unreal, such a gorgeous piece I am over the moon with it.

I sized down to a Small for this and it fits perfect, (I usually get Mediums because I like stuff baggy). It's a pretty long shirt so be aware of this when you're buying it.

Natalie Roseanne, a friend of mine who runs a brilliant Nail and Beauty blog, has asked me to do a post to show how I style my trainers with everyday clothes, and so I thought with this post can hit two birds with one stone.

Here are some pictures of the t-shirt and then how I have styled it with black jeans and my red Air Max 1's from the "Attack Pack " (2010).

(Excuse the grim weather here on the south coast. And my hair is here there and everywhere, but thats the price you pay to have the sea as your back garden!)

I chose the red to highlight that final touch in the embroidered script logo that had me swooned from the offset.

If you missed out getting this online, most stores carrying Patta's range will have them in stock shortly, among them Hanon, Hideout, Avenue and Boylston Trading Co., so don't make the same mistake twice!!

This TALK TO ME CASUALS part of my blog is for you to ask me questions that I'll try my best to answer for you. The first instalment of this section is based on a question from one of my good friends...

Yesterday I was asked by a friend of mine "what trainers look like Nikes, but aren't Nikes and are also Vegan?"

This has probably been one of my hardest sneaker-related questions to answer yet, as this is most definitely not a domain I'm familiar with and so, after a bit of investigating I came across a few interesting issues.

The first issue is that there are hardly ANY trainer brands that cater for vegans. Google failed me and just dumped me on a load of forums which I found difficult to get around.

The next thing I discovered was that New Balance are a brand that kept popping up which fit this criteria, however...

On further digging, I actually discovered that New Balance are not vegan, but that they do have many shoes that are made with synthetic leather. As well as this they do not have any guarantees regarding what kind of glues they use.

So then I dug even deeper and came across Sauconys "Pro Vegan" collection.

These four colourways are from 2009, almost historical now, and not much help to my friend.

The current vegan pack available now, in my opinion, aren't as smart.

You can see more pictures of these and other colourways here. My next problem was that I can't find any UK stockist of this vegan friendly pack after a quick investigation and so this is where I need you lot..

Can you answer the question of all questions and find a pair of vegan friendly trainers that are as smart as Nikes?

Or, can you find a UK stockist for this pack?

The challenge begins....

I absolutely love this piece by Patta.

The last instalment of there most recent collection, and it has just dropped online!

Produced from black heavyweight fleece and a stand-out "BIG DOT" print all over the body,
I NEED this in my wardrobe!

Monochrome is very 'on trend' at the moment and with that gorgeous final touch of a small red embroided Patta logo, it's genuinely irresistible!

I am embarrassed to say that in the last couple of weeks I actually thought we were going to see the last of the cold weather.. alas I was wrong.

Yesterday morning I woke up to snow, and I was hideously underprepared...again, embarrassing!

I left all my boots, including my Timberlands and Astorias back at home in London, so yesterday I tried my luck in trainers... never again!

Despite my lack of inappropriate footwear (which should never be the case considering I have shoes coming out of my ears), my upper body was toasty!

This is a post dedicated to my Carhartt Siberian Parka. Thank you for being the best investment I have ever made....

Hashtag #TalkCasuals on Twitter and Instagram and show me what you're wearing to keep warrm! Will do a feature post of all your pictures later this week!

So, the Postman has been verrry good to me over the past couple of weeks.
(I'm supposed to be on a spending ban but I needed these, I swear!)

First to arrive were these gorgeous DS Air Max 1 from the "Suede Pack" (2009)

A big thanks to gooey_wooey for these! These have been on my 'To Find' list for a while now and I am so happy with them!

I am an sucker for speckled soles, so check this out.... to die for!

The most recent parcel to arrive at my door was from Rockwell by Parra.

For those of you who don't know, Parra is a dutch artist whose work is instantly recognised for his quirky characters and vibrant colours. Parra is one of my favourite artists, and so naturally Rockwell by Parra is one of my favourite brands. Supplying high quality clothing and accessories featuring Parras distinctive illustrations seems just too good to be true, but it isn't!

I spent the last of my birthday money on this beautiful duffel bag with the "falling cats" print. I was in desperate need of a good weekend bag, as I am travelling a lot being at University on the South Cost and my boyfriend being in Manchester. It's the perfect size and to my surprise has 3 secret zip pockets which will come in handy.

You can buy this bag from the Rockwell by Parra website, or click the link above and it will take you straight to it.

The duffel costs €49 which is brilliant value, especially when you don't have to pay for shipping!

Rockwell also send out a free tote bag, also pictured above with every order, which I am over the moon about... can never have too many totes!
