Saturday, April 19th, sees the next instalment of Sneaks & Peaks event at Boxxed in Digbeth. Starting off as a small event with only a handful of traders, a couple of Dj's, some MC's and the support of Bench 504, Sneaks & Peaks quickly blew their own expectations out of the water!

Fast forward one year and the event has finally found its permanent home at Boxxed. The events' warehouse vibe and large yard space has enabled Sneaks & Peaks to continue to grow into a true urban lifestyle event, featuring everything from highly collectable kicks, clothing, graffiti and street food!

In a new collaboration project, PUMA have teamed up with leading global online electronic music platform Resident Advisor to bring you Fast Forward.

The Fast Forward project is a series of short films that look at the real and emerging talents in dance music. Here at Talk Casuals we are all for providing platforms for up and coming talent, something we have and always will be fully behind. This is a really exciting project that we’re backing all the way!

The project brings to life some of the freshest up and coming DJs and producers as they travel to new locations, explore new situations and accelerate forward into career-defining moments! In this new film series, PUMA and Resident Advisor take us on a journey alongside these rising stars as they’re finding their feet in the scene. Fast Forward is going to document every moment of entering the music world as an unknown, and I can’t wait for an insight! Fast Forward also further cements the relationship PUMA has with the dance music scene. The films are going to bring to life PUMA’s key seasonal pieces.

In the first edition, PUMA and Resident Advisor join LA vocalist and producer Seven Davis Jr on the journey of his first European Tour. The film captures him at some of his biggest dates and Seven Davis Jr. is wearing the recently re-issued PUMA Trinomic XS850 OG, available here from size?. He is a raw and soulful artist, but I will let the film speak for itself.

Make sure you keep up to date with the films as we post them here on Talk Casuals through our Facebook Page! Give PUMA and Resident Advisor a follow through Twitter here and here too.

The sportswear trend is still staying influential into 2014, and the latest collaboration between Topshop and adidas originals is definitely going to keep the fire burning!

Adding Topshop's feminine signature touch to an already cool and sleek sportswear brand is pure genius. And that's exactly the vibe of this collection, fresh and pure.

Reinventing the brands heritage classics with Topshop's fashion street style with bespoke London prints and landscapes, this collection is an exciting one!

Experimenting with luxe textured materials and new pattern combinations on tracksuits, trainers, tees and hoodies, this 20 piece collection is ticking all the right boxes!

Designed to combine fashion and performance wear, these pieces are perfect if you're endorsing that sportswear style or just simply need some new gear for the gym.

Check out the Creative Director of Topshop Kate Phelan and Adidas Originals Creative Director Josefine Aberg talk through the stylish sportswear line below.

There is a refreshing and clean summer vibe throughout the Lookbook and a clear, cohesive aesthetic; streamlined silhouettes and a fresh colour palette of soft coral, field green and gritty monochromeMy favourite from the collection is the floral detailed logo hoody and it's one I will definitely be adding to my wardrobe!

The collection will be available as of 20th March throughout Topshop’s  UK and US stores, online and in 80 global Adidas stores. Prices range from £25 to £90 and the items will be available. Until then, check out some more pictures of the collection below.

A good friend of ours, Sarah, passed through the Selfridges "Board Games" project last week and has done a review of the event for us! Check out her Blog Takeover below and make sure you give her a follow over on her Twitter and Instagram.

Kicking off last week in the London Selfridges store, is a 6 week campaign celebrating all that is good & great in the world of skate and surf culture and I checked it out, in all its glory on Friday.

A totally immersive experience starts when you enter the “The Board Room” which is a concept store-within -store – a wall of boards instantly grabs your attention with exclusive designs from the likes of BBC, Y3, Boy London to your high end haute couture brands of Christian Louboutin, Giuseppe Zanotti & Jil Sander - all from only £75 for a piece of art.

However this isn’t lacking in substance due largely to the expertise of an in-house Slam City Kicks to help you with installation of trucks, wheels & grip tape – along with answering any questions.  You can also pick up the latest SBs although not the soon to be released Tiffany Dunks it seems, I had to ask!

The theme runs throughout the store with exclusive clothing ranges along with fierce visual merchandising – think mannequins clad in Dries Van Noten with matching surfboard. Even the kids section is on-point with giant plush skate wheels to sit on and snapbacks hung on the back of boards. It was really refreshing to see street culture picked up by such a big retailer with a real genuine feel to capture all ages and wallet sizes – I even came away with two boards myself.

Go check out "Board Games" in store or online at Selfridges until April.

If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen a sneak peak of the Vans X ASPCA  collaboration back in November last year. I first saw this collaboration with The Unisex Mode at the Coffin On Cake SS14 Press Day, and it was genuinely love at first sight!

Featuring the Vans teams very own pet dogs and cats, the ASPCA collab has been applied in a cute allover print to both the Classic Authentic and Sk8-Hi Slim styles.

The collaboration is now available via Vans and soon to come to Get Busy StoreSurfdome and other selected Vans retailers. Keep an eye here and on our Facebook Page for any updates!

For now, check out some more pictures of the collection below...

I saw these, and I just had to share them! Its not clothing or trainers but it's pretty bloody cool!

These pizza cutters from DOIY are like miniature versions of the authentic Fixie bike; equipped with miniature handlebars, a seat, and featuring double sharp wheels functioning as blades! Featuring two gorgeous colourways, Watermelon (mint and pink) and Bumblebee (black and yellow), they are perfect!

Both colourways are available online for 17,95 €, a really great price for such a great product. The only issue now is, what colour do I get?!

What do you think?

Daydream Supply is an independent clothing brand based out of England, offering more than just your basic tee.

I came across Daydream Supply via their Instagram page, and I was impressed. They successfully combine inspiration from traditional British menswear with a love for modern streetwear. Daydream Supply strive to create classic and timeless pieces, and with affordable prices, which is exactly what they do! This is definitely a brand to keep an eye on!

Berlin based fashion brand and one of my favourites, Terrible Movement launch their SS14 collection titled "Mixtape". This brand stays true to its distinctive aestetic throughout its collections, but with every release they put a very special twist on our favourite TM designs! This whole collection embodies a 90s teen dream feel and the Lookbook mirrors this with it's playful styling by Maria Pizzeria and homemade backdrop! Watch the video below then click read more to take a closer look at the SS14 Collection!

YR STORE are the first live digital design and print specialists. I first came across YR STORE at the SS14 Coffin On Cake press day, where I created a personalised design for a tote bag! Since their launch in August 2013, YR STORE have collaborated with some of the UK’s most high profile fashion retailers, from Topshop to Liberty and now, with Selfridges.

It's a brilliant concept and one that has been really positively received. Following the success of YR LIBERTY, YR STORE are set to take up residence on Selfridges womenswear floor from Monday 3rd March as part of the store’s SS14 project, "Board Games".
