N1SQ - DROP 1

N1SQ is the unfazable new kid on the block representing a cross-culture of streetwear with a laid back Scandinavian aesthetic – a brand that effortlessly upscales the casual street look in its own redoubtable style.

This first drop says everything you need to know about the brand: a carefully collated collision of bold prints, stylised surfaces and raw attitude, it makes quite the impact.

Starting at reasonably priced £20-25, the graphic prints combine unique embroidery, injection printing and zip details. Essential items include skinny fit denims with subtle internal branding, longline shirts designed to be paired with fitted joggers and teamed with longline wool bomber jackets – and cult pieces include the Colchester jacket and the longline knitted hooded zip-thru that opens upwards.

Elsewhere marl print neoprene, mesh and teddy-fleece and cut & sew add to the surface interest for a brand that goes much deeper: the arrow in the logo points to the northern roots of the brand and, in tattoo culture, it is a symbol of focus, power & direction.

I really love the marble print in this collection. It without a doubt adds a luxe feel to any garment and here N1SQ have merged luxe with streetwear, emblazoning this print on their pieces with block style panelling and contrastingly in an all-over effect. This brand do seem to be bringing something a little different to the streetwear table, and I'm excited to see how they continue to break the boundaries between high fashion and street style.

The first collection lands in September ’15 online for a pre-Spring ’16 drop. Its good to see another collection embracing a unisex feel with it's cuts and prints, the unisex trend is definitely not going anywhere soon you can bet on that! Keep up to date with the brand in the run up through their Facebook and check out some more imagery of the collection below.

What do you think? Is this a brand you would wear?
