WeSC X HANON

Contemporary Swedish lifestyle brand, WeSC, have joined forces with boutique streetwear sneaker store, Hanon to present an exclusive capsule collection.

On the edge of the North Sea and based in the city of Aberdeen, the collection draws inspiration from Hanon’s immediate surroundings - a landscape built almost entirely from granite and an ever changing Scottish climate.

With a shared history of skateboarding and street-wear, and common ground via roots in the Northern Hemisphere, Hanon and WeSC bring Scotland and Sweden together in a performance and utility inspired line of apparel and footwear.

I absolutely love the gritty undertones to this collection. Manufactured in Europe and reconstructed by WesC, the collection comprises of an Italian melton wool coach jacket, Portugese shirting and jersey, and a tech inspired Ghillie brogue.

Not lacking on functionality, the collection features water resistant suedes, reflective laces and translucent prints throughout referencing the climate, whilst the greyscale colour palette mirrors the winter gloom and heavy weather experienced in both Sweden and Scotland.

Street-wear references are detailed throughout the line with military inspired flag patches, dual branded logo tees, weather resistant five panel caps and a classic watchman beanie. Additional reference points to Hanon’s locale feature by way of a grey scaled flannel shirt in the tartan of Aberdeen, whilst red accents - the official colour of Aberdeen can be seen across the collection.

The Hanon x WeSC capsule collection launched exclusively at the Hanon store in Aberdeen and is now available to purchase at WeSC concept stores and select retailers.
